Description: 

The City is now accepting quotations from qualified Contractors for Road Reconstruction. The work involves the supply of all labour, equipment, and materials for completing the rehabilitation of the following roads:

  • Foxboro-Stirling Road (Marsh Hill Road to Wallbridge-Loyalist Road)
  • Wallbridge-Loyalist Road (Frankford Road to Vermilyea Road)
  • Frankford Road (Scotts Church Road to Wallbridge Road)
  • Power Street (Lock Road to Highway 33)
  • Old Wooler Road (Stacey Road to County Road 5)

  • Smithfield Bridge Microsurfacing 

    The work items generally include: traffic control; full depth pulverizing or milling of the existing asphalt surface to the limits shown on the Contract Drawings; road base excavation; removal and replacement of concrete & asphalt curb; ditching improvements; structure adjustments; grading of existing road base in preparation of new asphalt including the supply and placement of granular material as indicated; hot mix asphalt paving; culvert replacement; microsurfacing, and line painting
