The purpose of this Request for Prequalification (RFPQ) is to identify and shortlist experienced and qualified General Contractors, Mechanical Subcontractors, and Electrical Subcontractors (Contractors) who will be requested to submit bids for the construction of the Trenton Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Upgrade – Project 1B contract, located at 25 Couch Crescent, Trenton, Ontario.  The prequalification process will be based on evaluating the information provided by each Contractor against the City-specified criteria and its relative importance to the project. The City shall make reference checks and may submit requests for additional information without limitations.  Contractors are invited to submit their qualifications for the proposed contract described in this document. Successful Contractors will be shortlisted and will be invited to submit a tender for this project only. It is the intention of the City that only prequalified Contractors will be allowed to tender for this project. Upon tendering, the General Contractors will submit bids directly to the City of Quinte West, whereas prequalified Subcontractors will submit bids to any or all prequalified General Contractors. Separate submissions in separate packages are to be made for General Contractors, Mechanical Subcontractors, and Electrical Subcontractors, including any Contractors submitting for one or more of the categories. For example, if a General Contractor is interested to submit for the General Contractor, Mechanical Subcontractor and Electrical Subcontractor categories, three (3) separate submissions must be made, one for each category.
