The City of Belleville and the City of Quinte West (the Cities) are now accepting tenders with the anticipation of entering into a Contract that encompasses the provision of all labour, equipment and materials necessary for the curbside collection and haulage of solid waste and organic waste  from residential properties and from various Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional (IC&I) properties, within the specified collection area(s), to a transfer site and/ or disposal site to be determined by the bids submitted. This Contract also encompasses disposal of solid waste at the Bidder’s site or a stipulated site as a provisional item; and delivery and processing of organic waste to an approved organics processing site. The awarding of the Contract is conditional on the Cities being satisfied that all government and other approvals are in place, which condition is inserted for the sole benefit of the Cities.
