The City of Quinte West is seeking proposals from qualified proponents for the purchase and development of a vacant, municipally owned property, for affordable housing. Interested parties may submit proposals for the purchase, development and ultimate operation of residential uses on the former school site located at College Street, in the City of Quinte West. The objectives of this call for proposal aims to assist with the affordable housing shortage within the municipality, while recouping public funds used for the purchase of surplus lands. The proponent should demonstrate their understanding of the local housing needs and their capacity to deliver and operate a housing project that addresses those needs. This project is a key initiative approved for implementation within the City’s Housing Action Plan, 2024. |
