The work involves the supply of all labour, equipment, and materials for completing the full reconstruction of Division Street. The work items include: traffic control, the removal of the existing watermain and the installation of new watermain including its services and all appurtenances, removal and installation of sanitary trunk sewer and its services, removal and replacement of existing storm sewers, the removal and replacement of concrete curb and sidewalk, full depth asphalt removal, road base excavation, tree removal, topsoil and sod, supply and placement of Type II Limestone Granular A & B, hot mix asphalt paving, line painting, installation of multiple utility conduits (joint utility trench), and rock excavation. There will be miscellaneous landscaping work to be done throughout the site as shown in forthcoming landscaping plans. There will be streetlighting work to be done throughout the site as shown in forthcoming streetlight/utility plans. This project will require coordination with Bell Canada, Cogeco, Enbridge Gas and Hydro One who will also be present during construction to relocate their respective utilities along Division Street as/when required. Multiple underground/overhead utilities will be relocated into the joint utility trench throughout the site such as: Bell(UG/OH), Cogeco(OH), HydroOne(OH) and Enbridge Gas Mains. Commencement of work will be July 20, 2026 and with substantial completion of Phase 1 on or before November 6, 2026 with final completion on or before November 27, 2026. Phase 2 will not be able to commence prior to base asphalt paving of Phase 1 is completed and must be substantially completed (Base Asphalt placed) prior to November 27, 2026. Surface Asphalt in both Phase 1 and 2 will be permitted to be completed in the Spring of 2027 along with all work included in the forthcoming Landscaping Section.
