The City of Quinte West is situated on the shores of the beautiful Bay of Quinte serving as the gateway to the world famous Trent Severn Waterway. Quinte West, formed through the amalgamation of the former municipalities of Trenton, Sidney, Murray and Frankford, offers its residents and visitors a unique and dynamic mix of rural and urban lifestyles. With a
population of approx. 43,000, the City of Quinte West is just 90 minutes east of Toronto on Highway 401.  The city is responsible for the care and maintenance of several cemeteries within our boundaries.  They could be considered two distinct groups.  Group A includes Mount Zion and Mount Carmel each of which are active at varying degrees and further described insection 3 of this document.  Group B includes Quaker, Bird, McColl, Longwell and Goffin cemeteries.  The latter group are no longer active and require only general maintenance.
