| Description: |
The City has identified a need to undertake two complementary feasibility studies: an Arena Feasibility Study and a Turf Field Feasibility Study. The City intends to commission both studies concurrently through one RFP process to ensure a coordinated and consistent approach. Completing the studies at the same time will allow for alignment in data collection, community needs, market analysis, cost estimates, shared infrastructure opportunities, and comparative prioritization. This approach is expected to improve efficiency, reduce duplication of effort, and provide Council with a more comprehensive and integrated basis for decision-making. The 2025 Parks and Recreation Master Plan has recommended that the City-owned property at Tremur Lake be explored for potential new recreational opportunities. Tremur Lake is an 18.6 hectare property located in the City’s west end and is an underutilized open space with strong potential for additional recreation and leisure activities. The City has established a maximum project budget of $80,000 (excluding taxes), which includes the Arena Feasibility Study and the Turf Field Feasibility Study. All work must be completed no later than January 2027 |
