Description: 

One of the key strategic priorities in the City of Quinte West’s Tourism Development Strategy, Completed in 2021, was market readiness: stabilizing infrastructure and marketing.

The strategy recommended a pay-to-play tourism business directional signage program that would improve public wayfinding at a minimum through the following:

  • direct residents and tourists to key attractions and tourism businesses from key travel decision points within Quinte West’s transportation network.
  • help pull waterfront users to the downtown for shopping and dining.
  • orientate visitors within the waterfront and downtown areas.
  • provide directions to available parking
  • increase/improve signage aimed to increase visitation to trails, parks conservation areas, campgrounds and attractions throughout the city. From marina and waterfront trails to other specific features and areas such as the downtown.

The upset budget for this assignment is $50,000.00
